chocolate daydreams

Possibly I am spending too much time on this daydream about importing a chocolate factory to a fantasy worldscape. One can vaguely rationalise the cocoa trees that have been magically adjusted to fit the local climate, but then where do you get the sugar from?

After some time with wikipedia, I conclude that the best solution might be sugar beets, again magically adjusted to produce more sucrose, together with dwarf-made extraction presses.

(The milk is comparatively easy. Just assume that it's good dairy country.)

(And give the dwarves a service contract on the chocolate factory.)

Also, note to self - parure. Don't forget.
