hoisting the flag to be free
The second Eurovision Song Contest semifinal tonight was also fun. Two of the three countries whose songs I liked (Latvia, Portugal, Cyprus) made it through.
Okay, I admit it. I loved the Latvian performance. It was silly but it was fun and it was good (as opposed to the Ireland entry, which was silly but neither fun nor good). I've been humming, "with a hi hi hey and a hi hi ho, we're hoisting the flag to be free," all night.
Just eight entries on the Order in the Court thing left. Please, next time I get a brilliant idea like that, someone tell me I'm an idiot.
What a lovely thought a three-day weekend is. I would bet good money that a lot of people at my workplace take tomorrow off in order to make a four-day weekend of it. I'm not objecting. It should be nice and quiet.
