sometimes the universe is cooperative
Oct. 27th, 2016 02:39 amBack at work today. Functional. Work still too hot. We all submitted incident reports in the hope that it might make a difference. It didn't, noticeably, but we felt as if we'd struck a blow against the system. Ah, false hope.
Preparations for holiday continue. Must remember to book taxi to station and train to airport, etc.
Had an incredible stroke of luck. While out shopping for a birthday present for my mother, and having vaguely decided that a nice handbag might be a good idea (partly due to a lack of any other good ideas), I happened to walk past a nice-handbag shop which had a sale on. Sometimes the universe is cooperative. I got a pleasant small shoulder-bag in deep purple. I think she'll like it.
