ah yes, this is what I was waiting for

Parcel arrived. Whee whee hoppity whee whee, and heavens, this Melusine book is definitely yaoi -- well, some of it, at least. I do like this. Rich decadent stuff. Must watch for the sequel when it's out in paperback.

I see England's out of the Cup. Not particularly surprised.

The weather has scaled up to hot and sunny again. What a nice thought it is that tomorrow I will be able to slouch around my apartment in a kaftan if I feel like it.

All right. Sugar and spice. A few bits slightly sloppy, but on the whole, yes, definitely back on form, this is the stuff to give the troops. Jackie proves that she is awesome at short notice, handling herself very well, and I was particularly touched by her line that, "I used to work in a shop." Which is a very fair point.

How easy it is to get entitled.

Next week will no doubt see a double-sided double-cross, and I for one welcome our new alien masters.

Eeee! Melusine? I was unwilling to wait for paperback; I got the sequel to it in the mail yesterday and . . . well, I also read it yesterday. *cough*

I have been experiencing serious like for her books. More so than any others I've read lately.

*beams* I hoped you'd like it. Also, the first four chapters of the sequel are available on the author's website.

France is still in the Cup, to my rather pleased surprise. I follow these things as I track approaching thunderstorm lines- will the honking horns, 3-day street parties and consequent gridlock happen in my section of town (Italy, not that we get the worst of it) or out west (Germany) or down south (Portugal) or not at all (France)?

Go France. (waves grandparents' tricoleur)

I agree. So we were right -- they were saving up the booyah for this two-parter. A shame it involved a little noodling around the last two episodes, but it looks like it may just be worth it.
