(no subject)
Jan. 10th, 2004 01:51 amSo, let me see; the excuse two months ago was that I was just back from holiday, and nobody had been doing Cardiothoracic in my absence. (Rot them.) The excuse last month was that I got sent off on a course for clinical audit training, which happened to coincide with the end of the month, resulting in severe backlog. The excuse this month will be that I took the last week and a half off for Christmas holiday, but that emergency patients did not stop coming in for that. (And they only actually cancelled the booked patients for Christmas Day and New Year's Day, in any case.)
So there will be a painful end-of-month data collection next week. Oh well. It's the end of this week now, and I sleep in tomorrow.
Um . . . (eyes most of evening) Did I just put my name forward for an online lj rpg? I believe I did. Oh, rabid enthusiasm, why do you have to jump up and bite like this? Do I really taste that good?
---
Some priggish little clerk will say, "I have reason to congratulate myself that I am a civilized person, and not so bloodthirsty as the Mad Mullah." Somebody ought to say to him, "A really good man would be less bloodthirsty than the Mullah. But you are less bloodthirsty, not because you are more of a good man, but because you are a great deal less of a man. You are not bloodthirsty, not because you would spare your enemy, but because you would run away from him."
