And today my little daydream is of a world where roleplaying is a huge leisure industry; pen-and-paper in particular, but computer-based too, and surely further developed than in our own if it is such a major industry. Where rpg game writers are wealthy and famous. Where . . .

. . . everyone needs a little fantasy from time to time. ;)

(And where translators are vitally important, since it's a worldwide industry and rpgs from different countries are appreciated outside their native land.)

4 days. Tell me I'm not the only person looking forward?

Moonrise

I awoke in the Midsummer not to call night, in the white and the walk of the morning:
The moon, dwindled and thinned to the fringe of a finger-nail held to the
candle,
Or paring of paradisaical fruit, lovely in waning but lustreless,
Stepped from the stool, drew back from the barrow, of dark Maenefa the mountain;

A cusp still clasped him, a fluke yet fanged him, entangled him, not quite
utterly.
This was the prized, the desirable sight, unsought, presented so easily,
Parted me leaf and leaf, divided me, eyelid and eyelid of slumber.

No, the ongoing events in Leeds weren't anywhere near me -- it's a big town. (Though it does explain the increased police presence I noticed at the station.) So no worries.
