My computer monitor base at work grows crowded with the number of stikfas and anime figures gathered on top of it. I should probably put a few away, but then the eternal question -- which?

(The ninja stays. Even if Certain Unkind Coworkers state that his twin sais look like glowsticks and wonder aloud if he is at a rock concert.)

The weather is morosely cold and hovering on the border of sleety. It could be worse, but is somewhat depressing.

My mental cross-indexer should not be allowed to consider Bleach and Angelic Layer in the same frame. No. Really, no.

Hm. Apparently there's a new 24-episode anime series forthcoming based on the Chevalier D'Eon. "18th Century, just before the French revolution, multiple religious cults of the dark side were engaged in secret maneuvers under the name of Revolution. Le Chevalier D'Eon, a diplomat and a special agent working for Louis XIV, is fighting against those cults, and also on a mission to find the killer of his own sister. A mysterious cult organization called 'Rose Cross' stands in his way, using vicious powers to create a dark creature, 'Gargoyle' to over take Europe..." This I simply have to see (and possibly read, depending on which comes out first).

A problem with getting up at a more rational hour at weekends is that I get tired earlier in the evening. Which is probably the more sensible and sane way to handle things, but annoying when I'm used to being functional a bit later.

(Okay, the wine I had with supper may be a factor here.)

Was rereading my collected Sandman earlier. I'm not saying that everything by Gaiman is world-shattering, but the run of Sandman is very, very good.

Think, in this Batter'd Caravanserai

Think, in this batter'd Caravanserai
Whose Portals are alternate Night and Day,
How Sultan after Sultan with his Pomp
Abode his destined Hour, and went his way.
