lovely sunshine
Apr. 23rd, 2011 02:20 amThe weather is far too beautiful for April. I'm enjoying it, but worrying a bit about future water shortages, what the temperature might be like in July, etc. The cherry blossoms are already falling and dying from some trees. Ah well, must not allow future problems to spoil enjoyment of current sunshine. At least not too much.
It felt like Saturday today. What a nice thing it is to know that I have another three days before going back to work.
Having entertaining thoughts about spice/plant/dye distribution in some rpg settings and the effects on the background. Probably not immediately (if at all) productive, but it is amusing me to consider where the Forgotten Realms get their sugar and cinnamon from.
Must be sure to be in front of television at 6pm tomorrow for the reappearance of a certain blue Police Box.
---
What are the things under the City?
In no particular order, these are said to be: the first Four Cities; the Masters' summer homes; the hatcheries of the Rubbery Men; and a number of gigantic sleeping beasts which are drugged every year to prevent them awakening and destroying the Neath. These are sometimes referred to as the 'stone pigs', but that's probably some sort of mistranslation.
