I have started a new bit of writing, the sequel to the library stuff. So far I have a whole (counts) six lines of notes.

Hey, it's a start.

Everyone at work was very complimentary about the new quilt, which was extremely nice. And I will put up some photos of it, once I manage to get them taken -- which involves being at home earlyish, and the weather being good, as I'd like to get some photos outside in the sunlight. So. Soon, one hopes.

Speaking of soon, it's the first Eurovision Song Contest semifinal tomorrow. This should be entertaining. I have some knitting laid by (a Baby Surprise Jacket, for the record) and the armchair will be waiting for me. (And if I'm not on till a bit later than usual, that's why.)

Must remember to get passport renewed. Must check on how to get passport renewed: last time was ten years ago, and I cannot say that I remember it particularly well. Or at all. There was a photo involved, but that is often the case and is not very distinctive.

Beyond the Tower

Beyond the tower lies the river,
The moon is low over the sea,
The horns sob on the walls,
The willows wave in the dike;
Gray is the mist on the island.
Now two columns of geese are flying away
Along the road to Chin-kou:
The sails of ships passing.
Now that the fragrance of spring is vanishing,
The silver candle burns down.
The stars in the Jade Ring are sinking.
A cock crows in the village.
