May. 7th, 2014 01:18 amThoroughly enjoyed the Eurovision Song Contest semifinal this evening. Sadly my favourite song so far (Cake to Bake, from Latvia, silly but fun) didn't get through to the final, but several others that I did like got through (Ukraine, Hungary) so it could have been worse.
A pity that some people in the audience felt the need to boo the Russian entrants when it was announced that they'd got through to the final. Hardly fair to the singers.
Next semifinal is on Thursday, and final is on Saturday. Have laid in some sewing/knitting and plumped up the armchair cushions.
