what are the Thirty-Nine Steps?
Jun. 30th, 2016 03:18 amI had cause to look up some details about Hitchcock's version of The Thirty-Nine Steps earlier, and was reminded that the film was made in 1935. That makes it 81 years old. Wow. It doesn't feel old. Maybe a little dated in points, but a real classic.
Didn't actually manage to get any writing done tonight, but I did manage to get some plot points clarified, so I'll call that a partial win.

Professor: Did she tell you what the foreign agent looked like?
Hannay: There wasn't time. Oh, there was one thing. Part of his little finger was missing.
Professor: Which one?
Hannay: This one, I think. [He holds up his hand.]
Professor: [holding up his hand, which is missing part of its little finger] Sure it wasn't... this one?
