Yours? Very evocative and interesting. Was the battered wife being punished again at the end? The tone for the red-hot shoes seemed ambiguous because, I suppose, there weren't any happy adjectives you'd expect to go with dancing and escape. Were you saying that she was still in the abusive relationship, with her husband a weight on her feet? I was impressed at how much came through in such a short story, despite my questions. Thanks so much for pointing me to that story, I greatly enjoyed it.

Yeah, I recognized it -- I like the Snow White story, and I've read a few. I just wondered what the step-mother was feeling in this mirror version.

WOOHOO!

And man, that is creepy.

And has a certain Nightside flavor, am I right?

Not Nightside pastiche, but... that ineffable sense of dark magics beneath lighter legends?

Oh, excellent! A voodoo version of Snow White, and with such dark poesy in it. Mmmmm! Enthralled, I am.

Don't know you well (well... at all ^^;;), though I hear MJJ talk about you all the time and you frequently have interesting stuff to say so I watch your blog. But just had to say congratulations (assuming from your comments that this is a story you wrote ^_^)! I don't even know you and I'm jealous. =)

I'm afraid I don't know you either, though I have also heard mjj mention you and read your journal because it's interesting. ;) (Will I run into you at Yaoicon, perhaps?)

Very belated reply because I have the memory of a gnat, sorry. I had no idea you were also striving for pro publication. It's good to know I'm not the only yaoista trying to go "legit" (while still yaoiing on the side); sometimes I feel painfully alone in my obsession. (Though you don't seem near as obsessed about it as I do, so maybe I still am alone in it =P)

You might run into me at Ycon; still assessing finances, and so far the answer is "probably".
