When Ichigo refused to fight her any longer, Tatsuki had to find new targets. It hurt that he seemed to think that a single victory had made a difference.
What counted was practice. Those endless hours of strike, withdraw, strike again, and always balanced while she did it, always stable and firm.
Ever since she was a child, and a visiting sensei (and even now she cannot remember his face, only his large hands as he set her in position and guided her fists) had shown her how it was done.
When you are properly grounded, you can move mountains.
