Taishakuten isn't sure what he wants for his son.
To follow him, perhaps. Taishakuten can't reign forever. He may act as though he will, but even he knows that the wheel must turn. Heaven will endure, though. He has paid the price for that. The boy will have Heaven. And everything that goes with it.
Even if it's not what the boy wants.
Perhaps what Taishakuten wants most is for his son never to know the choices that he himself has made; never to know the feeling of a friend's blood on his hands. Never to love anyone that much.
