A thought about the recent episode of Sherlock has just occurred to me.
John Watson's blog at http://www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk/ has a touching last entry in the form of a BBC report on the recent death of one Sherlock Holmes. I have just been struck by a gaping omission in it.
There's no mention of "Jim Brooks". There's absolutely no comment along the lines of "oh, and we found the dead body of the actor he hired to play Moriarty lying on the roof with what police think is probably a self-inflicted bullet wound in his head". This would be relevant to the news report. It would be something that would be mentioned in conjunction with Sherlock's 'suicide'. It would be speculated on.
And yet there's absolutely no mention of it.
Conclusion: either Jim's body was what hit the ground, or it was removed afterwards by someone else before the police got there. (And the blood mopped up, presumably. Police are not fond of unexplained large puddles of blood.)
I'm not saying that this really gives us anything new, but it does corroborate the idea that something went on.
(Unless someone entirely other removed Jim's body, of course . . .)
