a very good day
Oct. 14th, 2012 12:22 amAbsolutely brilliant day.
Train journey down to London slightly marred by the fact that my reserved seat was in a carriage where the partition door at one end was missing, and cold draughts blew down the carriage and twined around my legs. Solution, after half an hour of sleepily trying to ignore it: move to another carriage. Rest of journey passed in pleasant doze.
Comfortably reached Alexandra Palace. Knitting and Stitching Show was as good as usual. Lots and lots of vendors and exhibits (and workshops, but I didn't get round to any of those). Ended up staying till 5.30 when they were closing the doors and persuading us out, which meant that I didn't get to do anything else in London, but given the bags I was hauling around, it may be a good thing that I had that temptation removed from me.
Some stallholders recognise me by now, as I keep on turning up at the shows (this one and others) where they have a presence. I'm not sure whether to be amused, worried, pleased, or what. Probably pleased.
Have just been going through purchases (yarn, fabric, beads, books) and gloating.
