Hm. Livejournal just tried to switch me to the new entry format. I switched back. Bad livejournal, no biscuit.

It was cold out today, and the weather next week is forecast to be colder still. I am grateful for my new winter coat. Okay, so it's not that brilliant, but it's knee-length (or just above knee-length) rather than hip-length, and that does make a difference. (I would have liked ankle-length, but nothing was conveniently available. Something to look out for in the January sales, perhaps.)

Have finished the flannel baby quilt, and am now feeling smug.

Also very glad that tomorrow is the weekend. I think I will go to York and do some Christmas shopping. How nice it is, to be able to say, "I think I will go to York" and just do it.

It did that to me the other night. Needless to say, I said NO and put things back the way they were.

Oh, there's a way to switch back? Good. I shall have to try mucking with it. (Crossposting from DW is very restful for me! They needed to update the thing, and eventually did so by making moveable, collapsable boxes with the various data-entry stuff, and you can turn the boxes on and off, or move them around, based on how you want your post-entry page to look. It's still in beta, so it's missing auto-save (darn), but it's very nice -- I made it look about 90% perfect for me, and knowing that other people are also able to get mostly-satisfied (with different configurations) makes that 10% of satisfaction an acceptable casualty.)

http://news.livejournal.com/143666.html says that they're planning to switch to the new version without the option for the old, eventually, unless enough people can cluebat them about how it looks.
