weather nice, football a washout
Jun. 20th, 2014 02:33 am... at least we won't have any more "England might win the World Cup" fever.
(Not that I was particularly invested in England winning the World Cup. Or even remotely expected it to. Though it would, well, have been nice for us not to get washed out in the first round after losing two matches. And probably losing the third, at the current rate.)
It is always nice when a meeting is cut short in the middle of pointless waffle discussion, when one has a lot of work to be getting on with. If it happens because the person chairing the meeting forgot to sign in on the meeting room card swipe thingy and therefore neglected to confirm the booking, well, obviously it is important to look sincere and convinced when he says that he's sure he swiped in and something must be wrong with it.
(Besides, it's one of those things that happens to everyone at some point. Including me. So why be mean about it?)
