Excellent day.

The weather was pleasantly sunny, or at least mostly sunny, and even in the cloudiest spots I didn't get rained on. Which was very fortunate, as I hadn't taken a jacket or umbrella to the quilt show. (They would have filled up valuable shopping room in my bag and been an additional weight when it came to trudging back afterwards.) It was nicely windy and pleasantly cool while not being too cold to be in a t-shirt.

The quilt show itself was delightful. Some beautiful exhibit quilts, and plenty of fabric and tools for sale. Plus of course the inestimable benefit of hanging out with like-minded people at conventions/shows/whatever, where your tastes are lauded and your enthusiasm for spending money on the relevant goods is praised and understood. Didn't actually manage to find any Star Trek fabric (though I have since remedied that online) but did manage to find plenty of other fabrics, and went home with a full bag.

Then watched Doctor Who and definitely enjoyed the episode. The Doctor is being a delight (well, perhaps not so much to those around him, but certainly to me). The plot was decent. And I suspect that the writer must have been reading Fantastic Voyage recently.

The title of your entry makes me think of the fabric of a pair of "room pants" (almost like pajama bottoms, slightly below the knee, made of light fabric and sold here in summertime) that I bought for my brother a couple years ago. It had skeletons wearing hula skirts and leis, merrily dancing the hula. I couldn't possibly resist.
