It is definitely a good thing that my cold continues to recede. I'd rather not have a temperature, or any sort of symptoms, when in the airport or on the plane to America.

One of those bitty, multiple-task days at work, also involving a response to an outside query which is probably not going to satisfy the querent in the least, as it is just not possible to give him what he wants. Fortunately all our documentation that went out with the data pack in question did say quite clearly - multiple times, even - that what he wanted wasn't feasible. So we're reasonably safely covered. Though that probably won't stop the querent being irked.

One of the meeting rooms at work is notorious for being an icebox. Mildly annoying in summer, outright oppressive now. I made a joke that I should knit a few emergency shawls and hang them up outside it for use in cases of absolutely freezing. I think some of my coworkers were considering it halfway seriously. Of course, they'd just been suffering through a meeting in there...

Word of caution: they're screening people at airports now, as you know already, so if an agent asks to screen you, *don't* object, or they're likely to quarantine you and/or deny you entry. :( (Unfortunately paranoia is so rampant anymore here that even just suspicion can get you flagged for unpleasant treatment.)
