Lunchtime knitting session with coworker went extremely well! She was very pleased with having achieved an inch of knitting by the end of it (it's chunky yarn), and commented to me during the afternoon's work that she wished she could get back to it. (Heh heh heh. My plan for global domination by yarn-users continues.)

Bought a copy of the new DS game Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth today after work in the local Game store. Then walked into the HMV store a few shops down to get a particular DVD, and found the game on sale there as well, ten pounds cheaper. Fortunately Game (the shop) has a policy allowing returns of unopened stock, so I'll be handing the first copy back there tomorrow. I'm debating with myself whether to outright say "I could get it for ten pounds cheaper just down the road", or "well, someone had already bought me a copy as a present but I didn't know until they gave it to me". The first is more accurate but less tactful, and it's not as if the local shop assistants can really alter the price anyhow, so why make them feel bad.

In any case, I now have the game: I just need time to play it in.

It seems strange to me that you have the same shops available as I do, despite being on the other side of the pond.

I guess I'll get used to globalization eventually.
