still cold, still no snow

incandescensI have some interesting news, which I can't share yet but will share as soon as I can. (Yes, I know, I'm a tease.)
Watched a bit of the new Librarians tv series tonight while wrapping presents and addressing cards. (Ah, sweet run-up to Christmas, how I have not missed you.) Not actually planned, but it was on the television when I turned it on for some background noise, and I can take a hint when the universe drops it in front of me. It seemed quite entertaining - I'd probably have got more out of it if I'd been paying attention, rather than trying to sellotape up parcels and doing the traditional stop-the-sellotape-sticking-to-itself dance. I can also note that it's not likely to be confusable with the Invisible Library - the Librarians in this tv series are hunting down magical artifacts to stop magic returning to Earth, as opposed to my lot, who are multiple-world and only hunt books. (Sweet, sweet books.)
Work Christmas dinner tomorrow evening. It is very early, but it was a case of trying to find a date when the maximum number of people could attend. We've got a booking at a local branch of Carluccio's (a decent Italian restaurant). Should be good.
