incandescensOur line manager is letting our team handle our own checkpoint meetings, as long as we send her the minutes/notes and keep her informed of anything urgent.
On the one hand, we'd better make sure we don't miss anything out. On the other hand, this is definitely going to make meetings go faster.

Irene changed her clothing and towelled her hair dry as she considered possible implications. She didn’t mind making new friends, and she had no objection to drinking tea with dragons, but if this particular dragon thought that her loyalties were for sale, then matters were about to become ... awkward.
But, she reminded herself, this could all be paranoia. She’d got on perfectly well with dragons that she’d met before. Apart from when one had threatened to destroy this world if Kai was in trouble. Or when one had intended to hold her prisoner in order to keep her out of danger. Or when...
She sighed. She would just have to go and find out what the dragon wanted in person. So much for a nice quiet evening in a warm room with a good book.
