So . . . while debating deep matters with myself in the bath today, as one does, my brain began cross-indexing a daydream about fanfiction writers meeting anime characters with some short stories I'd been reading about elves.

Let's see. Fanfiction characters meeting their favourite manga/anime characters; fascination with these larger-than-life and more-beautiful-than-nature characters, devotion of their creativity to providing more stories and art featuring said characters.

Yup. Elves. Knew it. (Now, what to do, what to do . . . though saving it for Madeleine writing is plausible.)
