I went for a walk on the area of common ground near where I live today. Everything was green; bright green grass, spring green leaves, sallow green willows, deep green elms, old green, new green, clear light green, rich dark green . . . It had been raining overnight and part of the morning, and much of the grass was still wet, and it glowed in the afternoon light. The clouds were massing overhead, though it still hasn't rained again yet, and the light was that much brighter against the thick grey darkness which covered half the sky.
Tried to tackle reading an INS/MV campaign book today. (Fire of the Fire and Ice pair.) I'd forgotten quite how slangy and brisk their damn prose is. I swear I find it easier to translate Nephilim, however esoteric and complex the vocabulary in that gets, just because the text is more straightforward and doesn't use damn slang all the damn time.
Wrote about a thousand words on new personal project. Not too bad. Getting towards dramatic segment, which will either go swimmingly or take a lot more work.
Watched Onmyouji again. Such a beautiful film.

The Ghost's Song
Woe's me! woe's me!
The acorn's not yet
Fallen from the tree
That's to grow the wood,
That's to make the cradle,
That's to rock the bairn,
That's to grow a man,
That's to lay me.
