I've been rather lazy today. I'm blaming exhaustion on actually having done some serious clothes shopping (which I hate, loathe, abominate, "£$£"$£"£, etc.) Seriously. I can wander bookshops forever, but clothes shops . . . feh.
Except sometimes I have to. :P
I was looking for a nice plain long skirt, suitable for wearing into work, with decent spread around the knees and below, because I tend to stride. Blame the hot weather for convincing me this would be a good idea. I actually found quite a nice one (pale denim, high-waisted, cut slightly on the cross for a pleasant spread, to mid-calf) in Wallis, and now I just have to hope it works out as well in daily routine as it did in the fitting room.
Did I mention that I hate clothes-shopping?
Did not manage to write Dresden stuff as planned tonight. Shame on me. Tomorrow.

Advice to Women
Keep cats
if you want to learn to cope with
the otherness of lovers.
Otherness is not always neglect --
Cats return to their litter trays
when they need to.
Don't cuss out of the window
at their enemies.
That stare of perpetual surprise
in those great green eyes
will teach you
to die alone.
