yellow leaves
Nov. 13th, 2005 01:52 amGot up comparatively early this morning to collect a "we delivered but you were out" package from the post office depot. (Blasted post office depots and ridiculously unattainable collection times.) Did happydance all the way home, in a discreet manner, on discovering it was from shiny_monkey and even more so on going through the contents. Most grateful.
Then napped some more.
Afternoon was mainly shopping; all the perishables which I used up before going on holiday, eg, fruit, vegetables, milk. Fridge now looking much less bare.
For some reason Sky is playing silly buggers with my satellite tv subscription, as I no longer seem to be able to reach most of the usual channels. This requires investigation.
Second load of washing has gone through the machine, and now my clotheshorse bows its head, weighed down with damp clothes that are hopefully settling into folds that will not require ironing. (I'm so lazy.)
Finished first chapter of new Bleach fanfic. Yes, I know. Completely mad. Wibble.

Stray Birds
Stray birds of summer come to my
window to sing and fly away.
And yellow leaves of autumn, which
have no songs, flutter and fall
there with a sigh.
