small mutterings

I really shouldn't remind myself of how bad the movie version of The Dark is Rising will be: it just depresses me.

Amazon tells me that my sister's birthday present is en route. Good; now I'll just hope that it gets there by Saturday.

I will reluctantly concede that my new work computer is running faster. I just wish it hadn't taken them a week or more to get all the packages reinstalled on it.

New ideas. But interesting ones. Bother.
