done now, for a little while
Mar. 21st, 2008 02:04 amI think it really is the offended sense of entitlement that stings the most.
It was 4.30 and I was winding down towards the end of the day, even if I was still working, when a coworker passed over a fiddly piece of work that had to be done. And since I'm off next week, it should preferably be done now.
It wasn't that bad a piece of work -- just fiddly and annoying and taking me to five-fifteen, and since we're on flexitime anyhow, I wasn't actually losing anything by working a little late.
I think it really was just the offense to the sense of entitlement that gets you. You feel that the next half-hour is all yours for gentle relaxing slow work towards the end of the day, and then it isn't.
Oh well. Done now. :)
