a day mostly spent in bed
May. 15th, 2010 12:40 amSo I didn't make it into work today. Let's not go into details.
And when I phoned up to call in sick, the coworker who took the call admitted that she herself had been throwing up last night and was feeling shivery this morning, and was intending to go home early if she kept on feeling this way.
Not sure what to blame, but the food that was being sold at work yesterday (for charity), and the Awayday on Wednesday (resulting in a lot of people in close proximity and ideal for sharing germs) are both logical possibilities. Cannot help wondering if anyone else was affected too.
Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

And when the Commandments were given to Moses,
There was one that he chose to ignore,
For he thought that his people would have enough trouble
With the ten that had all gone before.
But he learned the Lord's will is beyond comprehension,
And past all our wish to evade.
It will find us at last, though we cower in darkness,
A refuge our own fears have made.
The final Commandment is written in heart's-blood,
Its sisters writ only in stone.
It will find us at last, be we waking or dreaming,
In sin or about to atone.
The wicked, the pious, the fallen, the angel --
In this, all their acts are as one,
For the words of the final Commandment eternal
Are these: Look at what you have done.
