the universe does not reward moral efforts on schedule

Virtuously cast my vote on the AV question (UK politics thing) today, and then it rained as I was walking home and I got rather damp.

How, o universe, am I supposed to learn an uplifting moral lesson from this?

Changed clothing, sewed quilt, and watched Mythbusters. All of the above were good.
