good but full day
May. 21st, 2011 01:05 amVery busy day. Also had PDR, which went better than I'd expected (all right, so I was a bit paranoid, and memories of school reports are hard to entirely avoid) and was really quite encouraging. (Apart from the bits where I had to admit that I hadn't completed my development plan, hadn't been updating my action spreadsheet, and still hadn't managed to train other team members in a particular package. Ah well. My boss knows we're busy.)
Up tomorrow at Ungodly Early am to catch the 6.15 am train for Malvern, to attend the Quilts UK exhibition/fair/shopping opportunity there. Given that I'm going to be on the train for about three hours each way, I've packed a couple of books, my Nintendo DS, and some knitting. And will probably sleep.
Very much looking forward to a bit of fabric indulgence.

"Trying to determine how scale-itch got onto Normandy. Sexually transmitted disease, only carried by varren. Implications...unpleasant."
"Later. Updating crew dental records. All Cerberus personnel have cyanide capsules in molars. Primitive. Ocular nerve flashbangs harder to disarm."
"Not a good time. Trying to map contamination vectors. Requires focus. Ship-wide infection of human-tailored virus possible if I slip."
"Some other time. About to test new bio-weapon. Not on us, of course. Didn't think I had to specify, but Joker got nervous."
"Having trouble working between your interruptions and EDI's insistence that 'insane' experiments endanger entire crew. Hard to concentrate. Affecting morale."
-- some "don't bother me now" lines at various moments from the resident "enthusiastic scientist" in the computer game Mass Effect 2
