If you wish to claim that you are an archangel, then I am hardly going to argue the point with you.

If you desire to inform me that you are in constant contact with Heaven and will bring down the wrath of the Angelic Hosts on me, then I am delighted to hear it.

However, if you want to remain a borrower at our Library (I believe that there is some precedent for the situation) then kindly supply us with the list of attached books. We are aware that some of them are not yet published, but if you are an Archangel, then that should not be a problem for you.

Sherlock,

Mrs Hudson wants me to tell you that she is very, very sorry about how the Christmas tree turned out to be a disguised bomb, but that it wasn’t her fault.

She also apologises about whatever it was in the brandy that made the Christmas pudding dissolve when you set it on fire and got the fire brigade called out.

But most importantly, she wants me to remind you that the rent is overdue.

(So stop trying to avoid her by claiming she’s a public health menace. We both know it was you who brought the tinsel that turned out to be an EMP transmitter, anyhow.)

I know you don’t like Tousen-taichou. There is nothing wrong with that. It is perfectly reasonable for a zanpakutou to have opinions that differ from his wielder’s opinions. (Though I’m not sure why Kyouraku-taichou was rolling his eyes so much when he was talking about his zanpakutou’s ‘personal tastes’ the other day.)

But.

Look. Please. Stop humming Mack the Knife while I’m working in the office and getting me to harmonise along with you. Tousen-taichou keeps on walking in just when we’re getting to the gory bits, and he’s been giving me some rather strange looks. As much as he ever does give people looks. You know what I mean.

Can’t we sing something peaceful and uplifting instead?

Oof. Very busy day. But did get a lot finished off.

Ended up going shopping afterwards, and got a couple more Christmas presents. Nearly done. Just need a couple of stocking-fillers, and maybe another roll of wrapping paper, and some tags, all of which I should be able to get done tomorrow evening after work.

Have also finished my promised drabbles and done that fanfic update, so am feeling virtuous. Let's just see if I can manage a little last-minute idea I had before Christmas.
