minor character defects
Dec. 21st, 2012 02:53 amWell, you know, if I had one flaw --
Let's rephrase that. Of the numerous flaws I have, one of them is a tendency to hit "sunk costs fallacy" and declare "full steam ahead".
Or, more specifically, if I've got a case of "quilt top just needs a bit more work or I won't be able to take it home in a few days at all, and the hard work I've already done this week on it will be TOTALLY WASTED (despite the fact that it'll only mean putting off working on it for a week or so)" then the next logical step tends to be "I will therefore stay up late working on it so that I will have it finished in time, to make sure that my earlier work is not TOTALLY WASTED!"
... yes, I may have a problem here.
On the other hand, I do also have a finished quilt top, which is a pretty good counter-argument.
So long as I don't do it too often.
