Much merriment at work when someone sent in a query wanting the codes for "fracture of penis" and we were all looking at each other and exclaiming that we were sure we'd seen the codes for that somewhere, but were unable to find them. After a bit of research, we found that there were specific operative codes for "repair of fracture of penis", which must have been what we were thinking we remembered, but that the actual disorder "fracture of penis" was classified under "other specified injury to male genitalia".
I am not sure that this proves anything, other than that we should perhaps get our minds out of the gutter.
(Oh, and if you're curious - "Penile fracture is rupture of one or both of the tunica albuginea, the fibrous coverings that envelop the penis's corpora cavernosa. It is caused by rapid blunt force to an erect penis, usually during vaginal intercourse or aggressive masturbation." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penile_fracture - and given that the accompanying picture is bruised and swollen, gentlemen may want to avert their eyes, cross their legs, or both.)
