the downside of the day
Feb. 23rd, 2016 03:16 amLooking up "sprained ankle" on the internet is not recommended: it can only cause hypochondria and panic.
Well, okay, not that bad. My ankle appears to be quite moderate when I look at how a number of people are describing their ankle injuries / sprains / torn ligaments / etc. The bruising and swelling are to be expected, the toes are all functional and wiggling and feeling a full range of sensation, I can stand and walk on it (with a few twinges) and fit my foot into the normal shoe (albeit more loosely laced than usual), and apparently the itching is a sign of healing.
I am having some issues with stairs, but fortunately there are lifts at work, so I will take those for the moment. Stairs aren't impossible, but they are definitely less comfortable than walking on the level.
Oh well, let's see if we can get it up to "reasonably functional" by Sunday week. I do have that holiday booked for Paris, after all...
