the chill is on
Jul. 11th, 2016 12:18 amThank goodness. I now have a working fridge/freezer again.
Electrician called this morning at 11am - I apologised for the Sunday call-out, but she said that she lived locally anyhow and not to worry about it. She followed the cable from the current fridge/freezer, levered off a bit of cupboard-siding, and located the plug in a wall socket mostly hidden by the back of a cupboard. She then had to dismantle the plug in order to pass the cable back through the hole that it went through, but after all that, it was sorted. Over nice and quickly.
New fridge/freezer was then delivered this afternoon. And after taking the packing apart (involving several trips down to my block of flats' trash area), moving it into place, plugging it in, and waiting a couple of hours for it to reach proper coldness... I now have a working fridge/freezer. My milk is cold again.
Now I just need a shopping trip or two to start refilling it.
Oh, wait, it's work tomorrow. Where did the weekend go.
