Monday, Monday, where have you been
Jul. 13th, 2004 01:54 amOkay; didn't actually do more than I'd planned at work today, but did get the scheduled stuff completed, so am at least not behind on stuff-to-sort-out-before-I-leave.
Heh. The job is located where I thought it was in Winchester, and my boss-to-be confirmed that. Managed to work out why I was so certain it was there; the email sigs of boss-to-be and department secretary had both quoted that address. Hah.

The World State
Oh, how I love Humanity,
With love so pure and pringlish,
And how I hate the horrid French,
Who never will be English!
The International Idea,
The largest and the clearest,
Is welding all the nations now,
Except the one that's nearest.
This compromise has long been known,
This scheme of partial pardons,
In ethical societies
And small suburban gardens --
The villas and the chapels where
I learned with little labour
The way to love my fellow man
And hate my next-door neighbour.
-- GK Chesterton
