(coughs) Should not have spent last few hours playing Inspector Parker in Betrapped.

Still, I would like to note that I solved the case, with only a couple of minor errors in my solution. Hah.

Otherwise, a quiet day (and a misspent evening). Tried my lenses back in for a few hours, and they seemed to work all right, so . . . fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Thistles

Against the rubber tongues of cows and the hoeing hands of men
Thistles spike the summer air
And crackle open under a blue-black pressure.

Every one a revengeful burst
Of resurrection, a grasped fistful
Of splintered weapons and Icelandic frost thrust up

From the underground stain of a decayed Viking.
They are like pale hair and the gutturals of dialects.
Every one manages a plume of blood.

Then they grow grey like men.
Mown down, it is a feud. Their sons appear
Stiff with weapons, fighting back over the same ground.

Inspector Parker is way more fun than it has any right to be, even with the annoying sound effects. I think my favorite clue is the proof of the illegitimate child.

There's more than one version? Now I'm not sure... Though the more complex clues like that only show up in the downloaded version, not the one you can play online. I think? Darn, now I need to go track down the game again. I found it at Little Fluffy.

BeTrapped! is a murder mystery game featuring Inspector Parker as a character. It's similar to MineSweeper and any WhoDunit game.

Plain old "Inspector Parker" (same character and makers) is more of a logic puzzle, requiring ou to use clues like "i saw ThisGuy two rooms left of the noose."

::beams:: Found your journal in a search for "BeTrapped," and couldn't help but share the joy. i too solved it the other night, and feel more than a little guilty for paying for something that i can only play once! i'm playing through it a second time in hopes that the solution might be different whenever you play.

i personally messed up on the question of the dogs, and on the question of the death of Mr. Dashalot...i never saw the clues that led to those answers...did you?
