the joy of awaiting meetings
Nov. 22nd, 2004 01:28 amVery lazy day. Did I say lazy? Yes. Lazy day.
Tomorrow is team QA meeting, which will probably occupy most of the day. Tuesday and Wednesdays are "Awaydays" except that it's going to be in our normal work location -- well, the normal work location of that part of the team which I happen to be in, rather than Birmingham or Exeter or elsewhere -- owing to budget cuts.
Do I come across as not entirely enthusiastic about this? I am not entirely enthusiastic about this.
The Murder Game has been put off till our Christmas Lunch, on the boss' suggestion. I actually have no problem with this; at the moment, with everyone severely depressed by the impending accept-move-or-redundancy, nobody's in a good mood, and games aren't really appropriate. (Murders, on the other hand . . . alas, the person who put together the current strategy/policy is unlikely to come within reach, and I have refused to rename the victim in the Murder Game on the grounds that she's a sympathetic character in the plotline.)
Oh well. Work will be done.

Tall ships and tall kings
Tall ships and tall kings
Three times three
What brought they from the foundered land
Over the flowing sea?
Seven stars and seven stones
And one white tree.
