and on the fourth day, there was war!

Well, it worked. Turned up at work at approximately 7.50 am (had to allow extra time in case it didn't work, to actually purchase ticket): and there my travel warrant was, obtainable, and I obtained it. So that was a weight off my mind. Not that I probably wouldn't already have slept on the train, but it helped. ;)
The meeting was interesting and busy and I have at least 11 pages of minutes to write up. Oh, my poor fingers.
It was snowing in Birmingham when I left, and I'd swear it was colder than in Leeds, despite being further south. Huge flakes of very pretty snow.
I was also greatly pleased to find Sir Thursday in WH Smith: the latest book in the Keys of the Kingdom series from Garth Nix. Not exactly groundbreaking, but still definitely enjoyable. (Though he needs a better editor: I found Suzy and Leaf transposed on at least two occasions that I noticed.)
So (and this is the fault of autophanous, bravecows, and petronia) I'm now imagining a "what if Byakuya killed Hisana (or she killed herself) for (believed) unfaithfulness, but swore to her as she died that he would protect her sister".
This leads to three possible pieces that I can see:
a) Fairly canon-lines tragedy.
b) Totally AU Horror Tragedy Serial Killer Byakuya Stalks Seireitai And Kills Most Of Cast With Sword.
c) Totally AU Comedy Horror Byakuya Stalks Seireitai And Kills Most Of Cast In Ways Conceived To Be Dramatically Appropriate.
Hm. Need to think about this one.

Dame Primus tapped a large hard-bound book of at least three or four hundred pages that was sitting on front of her on the table. Arthur had a copy in front of his seat too. He sat down, dragged the book over, flipped the cover open, and read, Being an Agenda for a Council to Discuss Various Troublesome Matters Pertaining to the House, the Release of the Will of the Architect, the Assumption of the Rightful Heir and other Divers Matters.
The next page had a list of items numbered from one to thirty. The page after that had thirty-one to sixty. Arthur turned to the end and saw that there were over six thousand Agenda items.
"I suggest we begin with Item One," said Dame Primus, "and work our way through."
