Note on Bleach chapter 239, because I am cynical, and want to have this recorded here in case my cynicism is accurate.

Urahara's being devious again. He wants to get into Hueco Mundo and do stuff. A big whacking distraction is useful. Ichigo, Ishida, and Chad will make a lovely distraction. Shame if they get killed. Ah well.

Also, if Urahara is faced with the choice of "live Orihime in Aizen's hands" and "dead Orihime" -- sorry, Orihime. Greater good, etc.

You would think that Ichigo learned after the whole soul-society-hougyoku thing. However, being teen and male, of course he would dive right in and trust the manipulative bastard that did it in the first place.

I love how everyone really assumes that Uarahara is 100% good. The man is better than Aizen, sure, but he is also out for his own means, no matter how harmless they may seem on a larger scale.

Could just be that I have a fascination for Kurotsuchi, but I'm not going to trust anyone who was once in his position. Not one iota. Nope. ^_^

In my cynical world it's more like:

"Let's plant Orihime in Aizen's hands and see what happens. BTW, Orihime, I'm so sorry, but it's time to start moving".

Heh... he cannot give those kids direct orders, even if he wanted to. They would just turn around and forget it immediately. Hence, manipulation all the way.
I'm so much in love with a very twisted good guy concept, I hope it gets even more twisted.

Ohh... I wasn't into Bleach three months back, but as soon as I saw that 'go home, Orihime' scene, all my fur just stood up. Indeed.

Looking around and finding opinions like "Aizen wants some info from Orihime about SS" was a blow.

Heh. I'm willing to believe for the moment that Urahara actually wants to help rescue Orihime (whether or not he deliberately let her get taken in the first place). But I totally buy the idea that he has other things to accomplish at the same time. He could have multiple reasons to go to Hueco Mundo and the boys will be a handy distraction while they're busy with the rescuing part.

And as for Orihime being left alive with Aizen...killing her is a sound Plan B.

(That's a very good point with some interesting possible implications. Heck, if she dies why not just find her in SS and give her a gigai. She'd practically be alive again...)

Mmm, yes.

("I'm sorry, Mr. Aizen, this is an excellent application and you seem very qualified. But I'm afraid the position of God has already been filled." XD)
