Oath in the Peach Garden

Work today was hectic. And work's going to be hectic for the next few weeks, and up to my vacation, and probably as soon as I get back from it as well, so there probably isn't much point my keeping on saying it. Though it does make it feel a little better.

I am now the happy owner of Empire of Ivory, the fourth Temeraire book. (Yes, I did get it from amazon.com and wasn't prepared to wait till I got to America. Hush.) And now I can't wait for the next one. At least I recognised the classical allusion -- I have Stalky and Co to thank for that. And I suspect that a certain "oath in the peach garden" moment from book one will be paying off soon enough.

I also managed to successfully pick up a row of wrapped short row stitches on my shawl-in-progress, commpleting the first panel. Go me.
