When it came to teaching, Kyouraku-taichou let the flirting and the protection go, and treated her like an adult. In fighting. In kidou. In knitting.

"Keep the stitches even," he advised.

"This yarn is lovely, Kyouraku-taichou," Nanao observed.

She could feel him preening even without looking. "Tussah silk," he said. "I borrowed a skein from Jyuushirou. I'm sure he won't miss it --"

It was at that moment that they both felt the approaching rumble of affronted, lightning-riven reiatsu.

"-- but perhaps my Nanao-chan will explain this to him, as I have an urgent appointment elsewhere," Kyouraku-taichou said as he vanished.

Wow. just.. wow. Lightning - riven reiatsu.... heh. Won't be missed my foot. I don't knit, but I weave beads when I have spare time, and the thought of someone making off with my beads inspires a rather similar reaction.
