Keeping busy
Jun. 16th, 2002 01:38 amAcquired birthday present for father -- probably shouldn't say what on the incredibly unlikely grounds that he might somehow run across this, but part of it is something he said that he wanted, so hopefully that's good. Forgot to buy card for him at the time, darn it.
Acquired Japanese For Busy People book one. Let's hope my visual memory proves to be better than I suspect it is.
Wrote another Saiyuki vignette (and yes, April, I sent it to you by separate email).
Cleared another 500 or so words of Victorian horror. Hack hack hack with machete.
Should probably call it a night if I am to get up at a sane hour tomorrow, and thus get to sleep at a sane hour tomorrow, and thus get up with a reasonable simulacrum of life on Monday . . .

Date: 2002-06-15 09:36 pm (UTC)Japanese for Busy People is a good place to start -- it's one of the most frequently used textbooks over here. I also recommend Japanese the Easy Way by ... Barrons. I also highly recommend picking up a Kodansha or Random House Japanese/English, English/Japanese dictionary.
