Had a very neat day at the Rosadoll bjd convention here in Leeds. (Look, it was 30 minutes walk from where I live. It would have been a slap in the face of opportunity not to go.) Failed to sell any of my doll quilts (curses!) but did make about twenty-five pounds making up necklaces for various people's dolls on the spot, plus had a pleasant time looking at all the pretty dolls. (I brought a selection of beads and tools to the convention with me. Even if I didn't use all or even many of them, a great deal of the fun for the buyers was being able to pick exactly what they wanted.)

Currently suffering from "oh dear god I want one of my own" syndrome. Fortunately I'm going to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham tomorrow, and will probably spend too much money there (or at least, spend a within-my-budget-but-ouch amount of money), thus rendering the question moot. Isn't it nice to be able to resolve problems this way?

But of course I will take things easy and be in good shape for work on Monday. (She says, crossing her fingers behind her back.)

An orthopaedic solution?

Specialist surgical trusses for the soulless are sold in Fallen London. Do they work? Well, they don't return your soul. But the soulless are martyrs to bad posture. They might help with that.

One what of your own? Quilts you can make yourself, so is it dolls?

Mm, OK. But what does one do with dolls? Apart from dressing them in becoming outfits that involve teensy tiny stitches?

Yay with letting people pick what they wanted! *happily wears bracelet/rosary* Neat that you were able to sell the necklaces, and get to see a lot of the dolls.

I hear that they are very tempting indeed. *grins*

But cool that you'll be able to resolve the temptation by going with quilt materials! Yay! more quilts!

Oooooooo...

John's mom and one sister-in-law both quilt, so we have wall hangings and bedspreads. Still... I shall keep that in mind!!
