lugging a suitcase of beads
Aug. 14th, 2011 02:14 amHad a very neat day at the Rosadoll bjd convention here in Leeds. (Look, it was 30 minutes walk from where I live. It would have been a slap in the face of opportunity not to go.) Failed to sell any of my doll quilts (curses!) but did make about twenty-five pounds making up necklaces for various people's dolls on the spot, plus had a pleasant time looking at all the pretty dolls. (I brought a selection of beads and tools to the convention with me. Even if I didn't use all or even many of them, a great deal of the fun for the buyers was being able to pick exactly what they wanted.)
Currently suffering from "oh dear god I want one of my own" syndrome. Fortunately I'm going to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham tomorrow, and will probably spend too much money there (or at least, spend a within-my-budget-but-ouch amount of money), thus rendering the question moot. Isn't it nice to be able to resolve problems this way?
But of course I will take things easy and be in good shape for work on Monday. (She says, crossing her fingers behind her back.)

An orthopaedic solution?
Specialist surgical trusses for the soulless are sold in Fallen London. Do they work? Well, they don't return your soul. But the soulless are martyrs to bad posture. They might help with that.

But cool that you'll be able to resolve the temptation by going with quilt materials! Yay! more quilts!
