all or nothing
Feb. 27th, 2012 12:18 amFinished another quilt, which was a gift for the friend of a friend. You may remember that a few weeks back, I was making happy noises because someone had given me a pile of fabric, mainly men's shirting stuff? I felt that I owed something from it in return. Blue, she said. So I went with blue.

It's been a good weekend. I feel quite nicely rested. (This feeling may last a whole five minutes into Monday morning. Possibly even ten minutes.)

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way -– in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Date: 2012-02-27 12:46 am (UTC)(I may now get my head out of the Quilt Zone a little. I did owe that dinosaur quilt and this shirt quilt, so I wanted to get them done and sorted -- done and dusted, as the phrasing here is, but hopefully now I will emerge from Quilt Mode a little more. :) )
