chocolate and other things

incandescensWent to Harrogate today: my parents had sent me a voucher for Betty's (a restaurant/bakery/shop whose nearest local branches are Harrogate and York) and I wanted an easter egg for tomorrow. Sadly, they had almost sold out of eggs by the time I got there, and the few they had left were ones I didn't really want. (The shop assistant serving me was happy to tell me just how many eggs they'd had this morning, and how busy they'd been.) So I got a couple of cakes there instead with the voucher. Their cakes are very good.
(And then I got an easter egg elsewhere in Harrogate, at Hotel Chocolat, because I am weak and there is something about the chocolate of an easter egg.)
I am very weak.
Also turned up a copy of Sax Rohmer's The Slaves of Sumuru while poking around in a vintage/handmade shop. How could I refuse?
Oh, and this morning, my copy of the new Kickstarter deckbuilding game, Miskatonic School for Girls arrived in the post. Very pretty. Very pretty indeed. I don't regret it at all.
