hail in April

Cleaned part of the kitchen today, and tried to work on finishing a previous sewing project before starting on anything new. Heroic efforts to finish previous projects may be virtuous but are not as much fun as starting something new.

There was actually some hail earlier. I heard it rattling on the window and looked outside to see that it was genuine hail, rather than sleet or hard rain. It only lasted a few minutes, though, and was gone before long. But the weather forecast continues cold. Ah, sweet English spring.

The Springtime

The red eyes of rabbits
aren't sad. No one passes
the sad golden village in a barge
any more. The sunset
will leave it alone. If the
curtains hang askew
it is no one's fault.

I have written 1,045 words as of right now! ...it is not as much fun as starting something new. O:(

Hail! But no cheese and cake, alas. (It got up to around 70F here.)

Bravo! Writing words is good, and is much better than just staring at the computer screen and thinking about writing words. :)
