I have spent several hours today finally playing Diablo III.

I wish to say that it is awesome.

(All right. Perhaps there's nothing very new since Diablo II. But I loved Diablo II and I am currently loving Diablo III.)

And the dialogue bits are hilarious.

And my Templar meatshield minion is cute.

(For the record, I'm playing a wizard. Standing back and blasting things is definitely a good way to go.)

I played on the open beta stress test weekend and -- once I could actually play, of course -- I thought it was insanely fun and I could've spent way way too much time on it.

Right now... I'm not really excited to pay $60 for it. That's a lot of money. And I'm kind of stalling for it to go through some updates and so forth as well. But it is difficult as I remember how much fun I had in the beta.

It is definitely insanely fun. Maybe a bit on the expensive side, but . . . currently insanely fun. You're probably being sensible in waiting for updates/patches, though.
